PTA Fundraiser Idea
PhotoBooks{etc} along with ScrapBiz will be launching a no-brainer NO WORK FOR YOU fund-raising option in January. Details are still being worked out, but you will provide a link to our PhotoBooks{etc} site on YOUR PTA or group site and then your parents or supporters can click on the FUNDRAISING logo and then on the organization name. They create photo books or custom photo products, place the order and a portion of the profit comes back to the school.
Do we have to take orders? Nope, it's all done through the site - the customer does it all through the link!
Do we have to deliver anything? Nope, we take care of it. The order is shipped directly to the customer's home.
Do we have to deal with payments? Nope. The credit card processing is done by US! You just get a check at the end of the month that reflects the orders from the previous month.
Does it cost our organization anything to join? No, it doesn't. You just promote the site and collect the money for the sales.
Do we have to have a website? No, you can pass the link along to your supporters through email or in your newsletter. They can read about the program at our Photobooks{etc} site and then click on the link to your fundraiser site when they're ready to create!
How do our supporters know it's OUR organization? Each organization will have a clearly marked link at our PhotoBooks{etc} fundraising page. For instance, if you're the John F. Kennedy Elementary School PTA, your link will be labeled "John F. Kennedy Elementary PTA". As long as your supporters go through the correct link, you'll get a portion of the proceeds from every sale at that link. We will even place your organization name at the top of the creative platform software link so supporters can be sure they are at the right place.

It sounds like ScrapBiz is coming up with a good way to fundraise online. GoodSearch is a nice site to fundraise also but I'm not too fond of the fact that it's only a penny here and there for each search. Our group likes the toolbar we downloaded from www.give2network.com because it lets searching and shopping earn money for our group and is also pretty effortless, but ScrapBiz sounds interesting too. We'll be sure to check it out :)
What a great idea.
